Game Summary

After just missing a 1st place in round robin play by 1/2 of a point, the Generals went to work and convincingly shut out the Thomas Worthington Cardinals 6 to 0. After a scoreless first period Zach Ulrich took a Kevin Hoyle face off pass a slammed the first goal home. Then at 6:14 of the 2nd Chris Watkins scored from Nick Zielinski to begin a four goal flurry in just 7 minutes and 14 seconds. Andrew Price's power play goal 56 seconds into the final period completed AW's scoring. Trent Delong and Chloe Spencer shared the shut out win with DeLong stopping 13 shots and Spencer 21.

The Cardinals had lost the 5th place game to AW in last year's tourney 12 to 0 in two periods. AW finished the weekend with 3 wins and a loss by outscoring the opponents 28 goals to 9. The Third Place finish in the tourney was the Generals best ever performance in this tournament.
