Generals Beat St. John's 3 to 2
Anthony Wayne defeated a split squad St. John's team 3 to 2. The Generals finished the four games with 14 1/2 points which earned them a second place finish in the informal 8 team Tam O'Shanter Summer Tourney. David Barnes, Zach Ulrich and Mike Kaptur scored for AW while Sensi and Wilkenson scored for SJJ. Once again AW was able to play at least 5 lines giving some younger players a taste of high school hockey.
AW Beats Holy Name 6 to 3
The Generals beat Cleveland Holy Name 6 to 3 and brought their tournament record to 2 wins and 1 loss. AW used 5 full lines plus a couple spares giving a lot of younger players some minutes on the ice. Holy Name plays in the Greater Cleveland High Hockey League's White Division. The Generals play St. John's Sunday morning at 10:30 to wrap up their first tournament of the summer.
Maumee Comes Back for 4 to 2 win over the Generals

Some things never change when the Panthers and the Generals play. First - Lots of Penalties - 81 minutes handed out to both teams. Second - Maumee wins.

Despite holding a 2 to 0 lead after two periods, AW let a win get away and gave up 4 Panther goals in the third period. Maumee's Austin Tubbs was outstanding in the net as he stopped AW time after time when a goal seemed to be a "sure thing".

The Generals play Cleveland Holy Name Saturday night at 8:30 PM in the third of four tourney games.
